Hip conditions hub
Use this hub to move from general hip, groin, buttock and lateral-hip pain patterns into the most relevant condition pages, treatment guides and injection routes. The aim is to make the next step feel clear rather than overwhelming.

How to use this hub
If pain sits on the outside of the hip, pages such as greater trochanteric pain syndrome and gluteal tendinopathy are usually the best starting points. If pain is more in the groin, especially with flexion, twisting or getting in and out of a car, start with femoroacetabular impingement, hip labral tear or hip osteoarthritis.
If pain sits in the buttock or high hamstring region, the most relevant pages are piriformis syndrome, deep gluteal syndrome and proximal hamstring tendinopathy. The goal is not to self-diagnose perfectly, but to reach the closest clinically useful page and then book the right next step if needed.

If pain is affecting sleep, walking, sport, work or confidence, the next step is usually a clear diagnosis rather than more guesswork. We offer physiotherapy, diagnostic ultrasound and image-guided injection pathways across our MSK clinics.
